Can just recommend for a weekend respite
Charming pub, delightful atmosphere, with a warm log fire that made our evenings relaxing and a spacious room with a comfortable bed that was hard to leave each morning, along with tasty breakfast options and proximity to beautiful Rutland Water just 53 km away.
Nothing to complain about at all.

Had an amazing getaway with friends! The rooms were comfortable, and we especially loved the evening meals. The Sunday lunch was a highlight, and the staff were super friendly. We enjoyed the local playground, which was perfect for relaxation. Highly recommend checking it out!
We did have to wait a bit longer for dessert, which was a bummer, but management was apologetic about it.

I had a pleasant stay with a comfortable bed and a lovely shower with great water pressure. The food was exceptional, especially at dinner, but the service could use improvement, as staff seemed rushed and inattentive at times. It would be great if they enhanced their customer service to match the quality of the meals.

The Deluxe Double Room was compact but cozy for a short stay. Super clean with good towels, a powerful shower, and a nice selection of tea and coffee. It had a TV and a fan, which was a nice touch. very comfy, perfect for what we needed while exploring the area.

missingWrote a review on 16 Julspacious layoutpeaceful atmospheredining limitations
The Deluxe Double Room with Bath featured a spacious layout, comfortable bedding, and a well-equipped bathroom that met expectations. Cleanliness stood out, and the location offered a peaceful atmosphere away from the city's noise, making for a relaxing experience.
Light sleepers might find the church bells across the street disruptive at night, especially if you prefer to keep the windows open. Limited dining options can be tricky. on certain evenings, meals might be reduced to just one item or may not be available at all, necessitating advance checks. Small details in room maintenance like shower shelving were lacking, and the shower tile pattern felt off with some misaligned tiles, which grabbed attention.

The cozy atmosphere of this quaint pub perfectly complements its delightful food. Friendly staff ensured a great experience, though the room had some maintenance needs and lacked bedside sockets. A well-cooked breakfast and reasonable dinner prices made for a memorable time, but noise from neighboring rooms was a small downside.

The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made our stay memorable, with spotlessly clean accommodations and a very comfy bed. Enjoyed a delicious vegetable Thai curry and delightful homemade pastries for dessert, highlighting the exceptional dining experience. the service during dessert was slow, as we felt overlooked, which detracted from an otherwise fantastic evening.
